Sharleen is a very experienced Home-based Educator having worked in this role since 1999 and cared for and educated more than forty children as well as having sons of her own. She is passionate about her job and loves working with children.

Sharleen’s focus is on providing a positive learning environment for children and their families, with lots of experience for children to grow up as competent and confident learners.

Sharleen uses quality resources at home and in the community to support her teaching of Te Whāriki - the early childhood curriculum and enjoys keeping parents up to date through their child’s profile book. She attends weekly playgroups, music groups and gym and has a fantastic outdoor area at home for children to enjoy. Bush walks, organised group outings, visits to the park and library are also a regular part of Sharleen’s fun programme.

As children approach school age, Sharleen will support them in this new and exciting stage through her Transition to School programme.

If you are looking for care for your child or children, Sharleen would love to welcome you for a visit.
