Anne loves taking a fun, hands-on approach to teaching and caring for young children, whether it’s reading, painting or crafting with play dough. The day typically starts with everyone sitting down to enjoy a story and settle in before choosing their activities for the day.

With two little girls of her own at home, becoming a Home-based Educator was a practical and rewarding career choice for Anne. Sixteen years later, and with her own children now fully grown, she still thinks of it as her perfect job and has formed wonderful friendships with children and their families over the years.

Fun and laughter set the scene for valuable educational experiences and Anne says this includes her own on-going learning. She works hard to challenge and refresh her own knowledge and to learn from the children themselves.

Anne’s kind and understanding nature gives tamariki confidence to explore new and exciting opportunities and to thrive as young learners.
